What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

What does " w/stamp " mean?
As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.

The Baguette French Sauce Spoon by Sambonet measures 7.13". A French sauce spoon looks much like a regular spoon with some noticeable differences. It has a thinner edge, flattened bowl, and a distinctive notch on one side of it. The size and shape is most similar to that of a dessert spoon. The French sauce spoon design helps scoop a sauce from a plate easily, without tipping the plate. The purpose of the notch on the side is intended to allow oil or fat to drain away from the sauce, or function in a way that's comparable to the fish knife.
The Sambonet Baguette stainless steel flatware pattern is classic Colonial or Baroque in design, with a very plain handle featuring a tapered ridge running the length of the spoons and forks.
