Christofle Spatours Silver Plate Flatware
Drawing its aesthetic inspiration from the 18th century, the Spatours cutlery collection appeared in the Maison's first catalog in 1862. Its name was created by the Maison. Spatours is the combination of the words "spatula" and "outline". Spatours evokes the design of this model which features sinuous lines emphasizing the generous curves, decorative heels and a slender rounded ridge common in the Louis XV style flatware. Its sobriety and harmony of its lines allows it to blend smoothly with all tables.

What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
