Fortessa's Filet Satin Stainless Flatware, also known as Katherine, is a classic and versatile pattern that seamlessly blends with both traditional and contemporary table settings. Crafted from premium 18/10 stainless steel with a satin finish, each piece features a simple threaded border around the handle on both front and back, creating a 360° design. The Filet Satin silverware pattern features a 360° design meaning that the threaded design appears on front and back on every piece. Filet also features polished fork tines, a finely serrated knife blade and well-balanced, solid handled knives.
This is the satin version of Fortessa's Filet pattern. We also carry the non-satin version of Filet.

What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend. Other metal alloys like copper or nickel are added to the silver to make a more durable piece.
All items sold by Silver Superstore as “Sterling Silver” contain at least 92.5% percent Silver and are stamped with either “.925”, “Sterling Silver”, or both.

As of April 2022, Fortessa is no longer stamping their logo in their flatware pieces. We do have some stock left of the stamped versions. If you are looking to match your older, stamped, pieces you will want to select the pieces denoted with “w/stamp”.
