Sambonet Filet Toiras Silver Plate Flatware
Sambonet's Filet Toiras pattern features a design that's commonly called "thread border, teardrop shape"; in this case, the thread border is also repeated on the underside of each piece, with an extra loop under the bowl of the spoons and extra long tines of the forks. The handle is a modified teardrop, as there is an extra flair at the end to give the pattern a decidedly French look, which is appropriate as the pattern is named after a famous French hotel.
It is one of the most popular styles, and with its simple styling it will coordinate with any style of tableware, plain or complex, but probably works best with traditional dinnerware. Each piece is made of top quality Silver-plate, and is backstamped Sambonet, which adds a luxurious touch to each piece. What is .925 Sterling Silver?
The Short Answer:
Sterling silver consists of at least 92.5 percent silver and 7.5% percent of other metals like copper, nickel, or both. The reason for this is Pure Silver or Fine Silver, is very soft and very malleable making it easy to damage or bend.
