HH is an abbreviation for Hollow Handle, which refers to a style of silverware. Most pieces are completely sterling silver, such as a teaspoon or a fork. Knives are made with a different process, where the knife handle is hollow, and the stainless steel blade is secured partially inside the hollow handle of the knife with an epoxy.
The silver manufacturers have extended this manufacturing technique to offer low-cost serving pieces, such as the Lasagna Server, Pasta Scoop, Soup Ladle, Punch Ladle, and more. You can view many of these pieces on our Web site by clicking here.
FH is an abbreviation for Flat Handle.
